The workshop consists of lectures, discussions, essay discussions, excursions and a traditional Georgian feast.
Before the workshop, participants will need to write an essay in the genre of a diary entry on the topic “The Path to the Center of My Attention and My Relationship with It”
The price includes:

single occupancy — 240 euros per person;
double occupancy — 270 euros per room (135 euros per person).

ABSTRACT
The meeting is dedicated to an attempt at clear and calm reflection on perhaps the most misunderstood, but fundamental distinction that defines all human history - the distinction between an icon and an idol.
We will not speak about politics directly, but about what makes any politics possible. We will not argue about doctrines, but we will touch upon what precedes any confession. We will try to designate the axis around which both personal biographies and civilizational trajectories revolve.
The workshop is centered on a reflection on the reality of the immaterial: on whether a truth is possible that cannot be measured or proven, but without which no genuine human history is possible.
We will discuss why in modern culture this truth was pushed into the realm of opinions, and its place was taken by derivative constructions - idols of language, structure and technology. And we will take the first step toward restoring the ability to distinguish - to distinguish between the image that guides and the idol that replaces.
